Icons instead of images in category view

Hello,
I have a mysterious problem after migrating from Joomla 1.5.26 (Phoca Gallery 2.8.1) to Joomla 2.5.8 (Phocy Gallery 3.2.3).
I have 4 categories with subcategories each. The option "Bilder anstatt Verzeichnis Icon's anzeigen" is enabled ("ja"), so I expected to see images instead of icons in the category view. But my "result":
- category 1: image > no subcategories
- category 2: icon instead of image > subcategories > image instead of icon shown in last subcategory
- category 3: icon instead of image > subcategories > image instead of icon shown in last subcategory
- category 4: icon instead of image > subcategories > image instead of icon shown in last subcategory

The site is not public at the moment, only running on a local webserver (xampp version 1.8.1).

What did I do wrong?

Hi, did you try to set the settings for "displaying image instead of folder icon" in parameters?

I don't fully understand what is displayed and what not e.g. by this:
- category 4: icon instead of image > subcategories > image instead of icon shown in last subcategory

I set "display image instead of folder icon" (= "Bilder anstatt Verzeichnis Icon's" in german version).

I have the following structure (you can also see 'www.haehle-racing.de.vu' to see the structure and the appearance before the migration to Phoca Gallery 3.2.3) e.g.:

1. Category "Impressionen 2009” (= category, image instead of folder icon is shown)
- images
2. Category “2010”
3. Category “2011”
- "Sachsenring "(= subcategory, only folder icon is shown, no image)
-- "Impressionen" (= subcategory, image instead of folder icon is shown)
--- images
-- "Jonas" (subcategory, image instead of folder icon is shown)
--- images
4. Category “2012” (= category, only folder icon is shown, no image)
- Faßberg (= subcategory, only folder icon is shown, no image)
-- Jonas (Subcategory, image instead of folder icon is shown)
--- images
-- Adrian (= subcategory, image instead of folder icon is shown)
--- images

Hi, are all images stored on your server, or are there some external images?

the images are stored on my server, no external pictures are used.

Hi, really no idea why this is displayed this way. If the categories have images (on that site they have) and it is enabled in options (see the options, there are more places to set it - for categories view and category view), then it should be normally displayed

Are the categories internal (no facebook, no picasa/googleplus images inside)? Do the categories include images?

Thera are only imported pictures from HDD, No Facebook, No Picasa. Every Galery has photo, or another gallery

Hmm, really no idea what can be wrong there, testing now without any problem
